A compilation of my "best" ambient work (personal favorites and/or tracks that have received positive comments). The track order has been selected to provide an ideal continuous listening experience, with a total time of one hour twenty minutes. Relax, tune out everything else for awhile, and float away...

All except "D minor Drones" have been previously released on Bandcamp, two are shorter, edited versions. I am considering a small quantity (25-50 units) CD duplication run for the compilation later this year.

Zone Of Tones is Jim Wilson, from the KC area. His releases under "ZOT" are all instrumental, across many genres (ambient, drone, piano, jazz, funk, prog, etc).

After piano lessons as a boy, and his first synthesizer in the 70s, he was a recording engineer & teacher during the 80s, followed by 25 years as a tech writer & photographer. He is retired now, with a modular synth system but no cats. ... more
